HI Frank,
Yep, we published this review some months back.
Picture quality is on par with Panasonic BD-35 (though not with the Profile 2.0 support), but the sound really is disappointing - you could do a lot better for the money. We'd say hold fire and save your money - there's going to be a range of new Blu-ray systems coming out in early 2009....

I have been buying your mag for over a year and have been waiting to see a review of this kit for a couple of months, as I saw it firstly in M&S of all places- did I miss it???
I have neither blu ray or home cinema and as I have a Pana 37" , this seemed an ideal answer to me,esp the 3.1 set up as not everyone wants speakers all over the place.
You have said the picture quality is good, but is it as good as the separate BD35/ 55?
Is the sound that bad ? Surely it will be better than what I have just now? At around £650 I would have to spend a lot more for separates plus loads of spaghetti.
Cheers Frank
This good value system is the first cinema-in-a-box with Blu-ray
By some way the best home cinema-in-a-box system in the world
