Sennheiser PXC 450
Think of noise-cancelling headphones and you might think of Bose, a familiar name from a thousand Sunday newspaper supplements.
But the PXC 450 sound-drowners, from the ever-reliable Sennheiser, beat Bose into a cocked hat with their detailed, dynamic performance.
Okay, so they're not cheap, but there's nothing like knowing you've got the best – and more importantly, that they'll last.
Like all noise-cancellers (rather than -isolaters) they're battery powered, their closed-cup design a snug and comfortable fit on the ear. The Talk-Through mode is a sociable touch.
