Good for the money but we're not convinced by its noise-cancelling abilities

  • For

Good value for money, driving sound

  • Against

Noise canceling ability could be better

The Sennheiser PXC350s are a cut-price version of the Award-winning PXC450s – minus on-ear talk-through and volume control (there’s an on-cable volume dial), and using Sennheiser’s second-tier NoiseGard noise-cancelling.

The PXC350s are an involving listen, driving along nicely with both high and low bit-rate iPod fodder of all genres.

We’re not as convinced by the noise-cancelling, however – switch to their big brothers and things improve considerably, with beefier, more detailed musical performance to boot – and a far classier feel.

The PXC350s are good for the money (available from £125), but with the PXC450s now available for under £200, we’d prefer saving for the real deal
