Speaker Cable Connecting

I have some QED Silver Anniversary Speaker cable which I am looking to connect from my amp to my KEFs, and I want to ask you a very beginner's question, because the inside of this cable is very different to other more basic cables, do I connect to the back of the amp/speaker the white and red wire inside, or do I just strip off the nylon and connect them with the braid protecting the red and white wire.

I hope you can understand my question.

Hello manos79,

Strip back the outer insulation leaving the silver-plated braid. Then splay this braid out and then cut the inner red/white tube. Twist the braid tor form a tight bundle and you have the bare wire ready for termination.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
